Instructions:
| 1. | Log into AIM (or your IM client of choice). It won't work if AIM isn't already running. |
| 2. | Click on the icon you wish to use. |
| 3. | When AIM asks if you're sure, click "OK" |
| 4. | Voilà! |

If that doesn't work, right clight on the desired icon, click "Save Picture As..." and save the icon to your hard-drive.
Then you can go into your AIM settings and select the icon manually. |
