I visited Six Flags Magic Mountain today with Abby, my brother Shane, his wife Alysia, and my brother-in-law Daniel. I must admit, it is nice living in the same town as a world-class roller coaster park. They even had a sneak preview of the new ride "X" for season pass holders. This ride is amazing. It is a steel-tube coaster unlike any other I've seen. The rider is suspended, but it is not a "suspended coaster" in the traditional sense. The seats are on a gimbal that allows the rider to be rotated independently of the car's path and direction. It is insane! After the first hill, your seat flips over, pointing you face down, at the ground, just as the train dives down a nearly vertical drop. I highly recommend this ride. We didn't get a chance to ride "Déjà Vu" this time... two-hour line. :^( I'll post a review when we do.
