As of this moment, I have managed to keep my 2001 New Year's Resolution. What was it? I fear I will jinx myself, but... here we go... My 2001 New Year's Resolution was to avoid being seriously injured for 12 months. Don't laugh... as an avid motorcyclist, hiker, and martial artist; there are few years that go by without the breaking of a bone or two, a dislocation, or some road-rash. Last November, someone made a u-turn directly in my path, resulting in a demolished motorcycle (mine), two knees ground to the bone (mine also), a broken foot (again, mine), and a lovely ride to the hospital in the back of an ambulance. A month and a half later, after spending New Years Eve on crutches and vicodin, I resolved to avoid serious injury for one year, and barring anything that may happen while I'm out tonight, I have succeeded.
I haven't tied down my 2002 New Year's Resolution yet. I have a few ideas, but nothing firm. I'll let you know in a year or so.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
