One can only give so much. When one has gone the extra mile for everyone else, and received little in return, fatigue can set in.
Well I am tired. I am tired of giving of myself only to be taken for granted. I am tired of being tired.
There are a handful of you who have been there for me, and for that I am grateful. Unfortunately, most of the people that I care for the most, and to whom I have given huge amounts of time and energy, don't feel a need to return the favor.
Fine. If it's too much effort for all of you to give a little, then I am done giving. My reserves are spent, and I find it too trying to even care anymore.
I know that I'm being selfish. I know that you are supposed to give to others without any expectation of return. That is exactly what I have done for years. I am done.
You can all fend for yourselves for all I care.
