Well, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed Return of the King (both times). The pacing was a bit awkward in places and there were some scenes missing that I hope will turn up in the extended version, but overall the experience was great! We even went so far as to have a Lord of the Rings viewing party on Saturday. We began by watching the extended cut of The Fellowship of the Ring at noon, followed at 4pm by the extended cut of The Two Towers. Immediately after we went directly to the theater and queued up to see Return of the King. In the end we had been experiencing The Lord of the Rings for 12 hours straight. Great fun, but next time I'll have to make sure that I get enough sleep the night before!
