You have to understand that the US government has overburdened itself with many other extracurricular activities, while also trying to maintain conditions within the country. Do you realize that in order to give percentage wise the same amount as Australia we would have to pledge over 2 Trillion dollars. That would be inconceivable. The area affected by the Tsunami is not the economic lynch pin of the world economy and can only handle effectively so much aid. In addition, besides our monetary donation we are also sending physical resources and military troops to help with restoration and reconstruction efforts. Get you head out of your ass and stop bad mouthing the country you live in.

Ah... the wisdom of the anonymous. You do realize that the only places where "bad mouthing the country you live in" (as you so eloquently put it) is not allowed are totalitarian dictatorships, right? You know, places like Communist China, Nazi Germany, the U.S.S.R. or Saddam's Iraq. Dissent and criticism serve a powerful purpose in democracy, a purpose that our founding fathers were well aware of. I speak out when I disagree with my government because I love this country, and I will continue to do so until the day that I die.

As for my head being in my ass... I'm happy to see that my little rant pissed you off so much. Maybe someday you'll get angry enough to actually think for yourself. One can hope.

Qatar pledged $100 million and thats only the size of the smallest of our states. Maybe the USA should give at least $5 Billion or that amount times the 50 states just to prove we are the most powerful wealthy nation on earth like everyone brags... or perhaps double that to $10B because if you average in the big states ..just wanna be fair.. Hey never mind W's $10,000 might help out enough to cover expenses.. Ya know Bill Gates gave $750 million in vaccines ... thats more than the ENTIRE UNITED STATES gave and he is just 1 citizen!
