A composite of 2573 webcam self-portraits found on Live Journal and the such.
All source images are 320 by 240 pixels in size and were taken with "cheap" webcams rather than consumer or professional level digital cameras.
The piece is a study in the composition of lo-fi / high-tech narcissism and the struggle for praise and acceptance in a society that makes icons of celebrities like Paris Hilton.
I would be amiss if I failed to mention that today is the second anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq.
1520 American soldiers dead,
no WMDs found,
no peace in sight for the people of Iraq.
Three of my pieces
(The Known Soldier,
The 108th U.S. Senate and
The 108th U.S. House of Representatives)
were shown at an anti-war demonstration in Seattle this weekend.
